Parking lot
In a parking lot. In a car. 7:43PM.
He starts the engine.
“I want- hoo… To go… Somewhere nice”, she staccatos while rubbing her hands together and blowing heat from her mouth to warm them.
“Here is nice”, he adds after taking a deep almost meditative breath. She stops her frantic if not manic rub to look at him, a confused look on her face. “Ughh… we’re in the car, behind the dollar store”.
“I know”, he answers, slightly smiling, eyes looking straight at the dark crossing road ahead, “but I’m here with you.”
He looks in his rearview mirror and drives off.
Melodies to dusk

An inherent necessity - Music. A part of my life like veins inside my body. Numerous vessels like the many tracks.
Each note… a cell.
Each pulse, a rhythm…
Each play, a moment…
Which brings me to my manifestation of generosity. I want to share my “kick of your shoes and relax” or “7:54pm” music. You know, the ones you listen to just to listen, to enjoy - preferably with no lights turned on, on the couch, waiting for the sun to fully set. Just you and you, or you and a loved one.
Yes, that kind of music…
Here’s what I’m into this week.
Mara Hruby - Character
Mat Kearney - All I need
Donny Hathaway - For all we know
Nina Simone - Wild is the wind
Snow Patrol - Run
Jesse Boykins III - B4 the night is thru (feat. The Weeknd)
